From Dean Piper´s site:
This week Mel B set the cat among the pigeon’s on Aussie TV by mentioning there was an offer on the table for the Spice Girls to reform once again for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert.
Being a huge Spice Girls fan I wanted to get to the bottom of the rumours. So here goes…..it turns out Gary Barlow – who’s organising the gig – HAS asked the girls to perform. But as things currently stand it is NOT going to happen because Victoria Beckham doesn’t want to be a part of it.
All the other girls – Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton – are up for it. But Posh can’t seem to be persuaded. A source tells me: “All the girls are desperate for some Spice action except Posh who is simply too busy – she loves the girls and wants to support them and the fans but doesn’t see how she has the time when her fashion business is so successful.
“She has a very small team that she is hands on with all day, every day. Every spare minute she has is spent with her children and she just doesn’t have the time.”
So here I write to Victoria herself on behalf of the millions of Spice fans around the world.
Dear VB,
Pleeeeeeease, rethink your decision. The fans are wanting more from the Spice Girls and you can’t be the one to let the side down. You enjoyed every minute last time you reformed and your boys would love to see you on stage again. You’ll have a global audience of 1 billion watching you (surely great PR for the clothes) and you secretly would love to be up there dancing again.
This concert is part of British history and you can’t let this opportunity pass you by. If needs be I’ll come and be your PA and organise your schedule. It’s definitely possible – so take the plunge.
Lots of love, Dean xTake That’s Gary is set to reveal the first list of performers this week – let’s hope VB changes her mind.
Write to Victoria herself on Twitter at @VictoriaBeckham and use the hashtag #DeansSpiceCampaign to try and persuade her to change her mind!

The Spice Girls were a British pop girl group formed in 1994. The group consisted of Victoria Beckham (née Adams), Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, and Geri Halliwell. They were signed to Virgin Records and released their debut single, "Wannabe" in 1996, which hit number-one in more than 30 countries and helped establish the group as a "global phenomenon". Credited for being the pioneers that paved the way for the commercial breakthrough of teen pop in the late 1990s, their debut album, Spice, sold more than 23 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling album by a female group in music history. They have sold over 75 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling female group of all time. Measures of their success include international record sales, a 2007–2008 reunion tour, merchandising, record-breaking achievements, iconic symbolism such as Geri Halliwell's Union Jack dress, representing "Girl Power", a box-office film, Spice World, and their internationally recognised nicknames.
David Robert Joseph Beckham, OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English association footballer who plays midfield for Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer, having previously played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, and A.C. Milan, as well as the England national team, for which he holds the all-time appearance record for an outfield player.
Beckham's career began when he signed a professional contract with Manchester United, making his first-team debut in 1992 aged 17. During his time there, United won the Premier League title six times, the FA Cup twice, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999. He left Manchester United to sign for Real Madrid in 2003, where he remained for four seasons, clinching the La Liga championship in his final season with the club. In January 2007, it was announced that Beckham would leave Real Madrid for the Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy, signing a five-year contract with them on 1 July 2007. While a Galaxy player, he spent two loan spells in Italy with Milan in 2009 and 2010. On 20 November 2011, he joined an elite group of players to have won three league titles in three different countries, when Los Angeles won their third MLS Cup. In international football, Beckham made his England debut on 1 September 1996, at the age of 21. He was made captain from 15 November 2000 until the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals, during which he played 58 times. He earned a much-publicised hundredth cap against France on 26 March 2008, and became the all-time outfield player appearance record holder on 28 March 2009 when he surpassed Bobby Moore's total of 108 caps. With 115 career appearances to date he has stated that he does not intend to retire from international football, having missed the 2010 World Cup through injury and not featuring in England manager Fabio Capello's post-World Cup plans. He is married to Victoria Beckham (previously Victoria Caroline Adams) and they have four children, Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James, Cruz David, and Harper Seven.

Honestly, I love the Spice Girls and would love to see them reform, all five of them, but for me it turns out that if they do it without VB it won’t be much of a problem. She doesn’t want to? Whatever! Mel B, Melanie C, Emma and Geri should go for it.
I have just read VB’s autobiography, Learning to Fly, and one thing that marked me was when she mentions Melanie C’s reluctance at showing up to record Forever, the Spice Girls’s third album. The tone of criticism in VB’s writing wasn’t unnoticed: she said Mel couldn’t be Rocky Spice, but she would soon find out she could be both Melanie C and Sporty Spice, learning to balance her time as a solo artist and a Spice Girl. Now who doesn’t know how to balance? The lesson I learn is: you shouldn’t criticise others when you are prone to do the same years later. It’s sad.
