Victoria Beckham shoots down claims she’s ‘called in the lawyers’ against the Spice Girls reunion

Victoria Beckham has denied claims she’s drafted in the lawyers to prevent the Spice Girls reunion from performing their biggest hits.

It was previously reported Victoria Beckham was taking legal action against the reunion featuring Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, blocking them from performing songs she helped co-write like Say You’ll Be There and Spice Up Your Life.

Representatives for Victoria however have since denied the claims to Metro.co.uk, saying: ‘No legal letter was sent, this is a fabrication by The Sun and this story is now being handled legally by Victoria’s lawyer.

The reports were given credence following comments Victoria previously made regarding how she’d wish the reunited trio would perform their own songs.

‘I do think they should sing new material,’ Victoria said. ‘Because what we did as the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs, I think I might be a bit sad.’

Melanie C also snubbed plans for the reunion tour, believing they went out on a high with their performance at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.

The reunited trio also hit trouble recently, after it seems Geri Horner is backing out due to family commitments.
