Emma Bunton and the rest of the Spice Girls drank prosecco and munched on posh sushi as they gossiped about their lives and reminisced about their time in the spotlight, she revealed today.

On Friday, the fivesome set the internet alight when they were all spotted arriving at Geri Horner’s house for talks about a long-awaited Spice Girls reunion.

The rumour mill went into overdrive when they shared a snap of themselves under the same roof for the first time since the 2012 Olympic Games, and there was speculation the band were getting back together 21 years after their first hit song Wannabe.

Describing their meet-up as “extra special”, Emma told co-presenter Jamie Theakston on their Heart London Breakfast Show this morning that they’d all had a “lovely afternoon”.

Obviously, we’ve seen each other individually, but actually [the last time we were] all together in one room was at the Olympics,” she recalled.

It was just like, Friday, we thought we would all catch up, everyone was in town, let’s do this, let’s catch up. But I don’t think any of us were expecting, we had such a lovely afternoon. We sat down, we had lunch together, we sat round.

Emma revealed that their top-secret meeting wasn’t even supposed to be held at Geri’s London home, but they’d had to switch venues at the last moment.

At first, actually, it was supposed to be at a hotel. But the morning of the meeting there was quite a lot of press speculation and we thought oh, maybe we need to go somewhere a bit more private. Geri’s was the nearest so we were like, ‘We’re coming to yours!

We reminisced about the old times, we were talking about the kids, It was lovely. And then we all sat around Geri’s table and we got takeaway in, got sushi and some salads and drank tea and a little bit of prosecco, and it was just so lovely to see everyone. I loved it, really good fun.”

Addressing reports that the five singers were offered £10million each to reform the band, Emma laughed.

No, again, being together and figuring things out, there’s lot of opportunities for us especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world,” she said.

We need another kind of sit down, because we were chatting for hours and then we were like, ‘Oh we’ve got to pick the kids up! It was hilarious because I was there and obviously got pictured coming out, lots of paparazzi and then the next minute I’m sitting in a church hall in Barnet and I’m waiting for my sons. He got his little certificate for his disco dancing.

While they’ve not decided on putting together a reunion tour or heading back to the studio to make a new album, Emma said there’s “opportunities” to explore and hinted that Victoria Beckham – who has been the least keen to get the band back together – is “all in”.

In a statement released by Jo Milloy on behalf of the group after their meeting, the Spice Girls confirmed they are definitely working together again.

“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls,” they said.

“The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”

Tune in to the Heart London Breakfast Show with Jamie and Emma, weekdays from 6am – 9am, and catch Emma on Sundays on Heart from 7pm – 10pm

Victoria Beckham has denied claims she’s drafted in the lawyers to prevent the Spice Girls reunion from performing their biggest hits.

It was previously reported Victoria Beckham was taking legal action against the reunion featuring Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, blocking them from performing songs she helped co-write like Say You’ll Be There and Spice Up Your Life.

Representatives for Victoria however have since denied the claims to Metro.co.uk, saying: ‘No legal letter was sent, this is a fabrication by The Sun and this story is now being handled legally by Victoria’s lawyer.

The reports were given credence following comments Victoria previously made regarding how she’d wish the reunited trio would perform their own songs.

‘I do think they should sing new material,’ Victoria said. ‘Because what we did as the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs, I think I might be a bit sad.’

Melanie C also snubbed plans for the reunion tour, believing they went out on a high with their performance at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.

The reunited trio also hit trouble recently, after it seems Geri Horner is backing out due to family commitments.

David Beckham bought hot drinks for a paramedic and her patient after he spotted them waiting for an ambulance in the cold. Cycle response paramedic Catherine Maynard was helping an elderly man, who had fallen in central London.

Ms Maynard said the former England captain greeted them, got in his car and returned 10 minutes later with cups of tea and coffee.

“We were both very amused and flattered,” she said. ‘Think that was Beckham’

Ms Maynard said she had been trying to keep her patient warm as they waited for an ambulance near Endsleigh Street.

“All of a sudden, I looked up and saw someone who looked like David Beckham walking past us,” she said.

“He said hello and got in his car. I said to the man I was treating, ‘I think that was David Beckham’. Ten minutes later, he came back with a cup of coffee for me and a tea for the patient.

“It was awful cycling around in the cold today and I couldn’t believe it when he came back with some hot drinks – I was so chuffed.”

London Ambulance Service said Beckham had shown he “respects hard-working paramedics and even a gesture as small as buying a cup of coffee makes our crews feel appreciated”.

The patient was taken to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

FORMER Spice Girl Melanie Brown will make her way to Darwin next month for a special meet and greet with the city’s clubbers.

She will be at Monsoons on Friday, February 12, to pose for photos with fans and answer questions from the crowd in a Q&A session, all in between partying into the weekend.

From being part of the biggest girl group in history to judging on The X Factor Australia, Mel “Scary Spice” B has stayed in the public eye through her knowledge of the music industry.

Currently hosting Lip Sync Battle UK and judging on America’s Got Talent, she is making a long-awaited return to Australia.

“She will bring the crowds, and she will most definitely bring the fun,” Monsoons’ Lori Gardiner said.

Brown remains a most sought–after celebrity.

She hinted to media last week there was the possibility of a Spice Girls reunion in 2016, which would see the group return to the stage for the 20th anniversary of Wannabe.

In the meantime, Darwin will have Brown for a night of partying where all eyes will be on the star.

It is part of a bumper wet season for Darwin nightlife, with Fat Joe, former Pussycat Doll Melody, Alison Wonderland and Illy all touring across January and February.

We’ve all heard it — a picture is worth 1,000 words. As an aspiring pop star, Victoria Beckham wanted to be as famous as Persil Automatic (the Tide detergent of Europe), a bon mot recounted by countless media outlets. Now, Beckham is expressing the thought visually, by putting a graphic that nods to Persil’s packaging — without copying — on a T-shirt.

Such is the ebullience of the designer’s Victoria Victoria Beckham line, particularly this season. “We have lots of fun with it,” Beckham said during a walk-through. Conversation prints — a feisty fruit basket motif and “cocktails” featuring undrinkable but pretty nonalcoholic concoctions photographed in her studio — were blown up and splashed across dresses and separates cut simply with a hint of the Sixties. Then there was the denim, recently folded from its former stand-alone positioning into VVB. The news here was in patchwork looks, inspired by a scarecrow Beckham said she encountered during a visit to a Los Angeles-area pumpkin patch — no kidding. Yet lest the revelry overwhelm, she offered moments of calm as well in pinstripes used unexpectedly, on, for example, a spunky T-shirt dress. And like Persil, it’s all got to perform for the customer. “It’s about getting the balance of the fun and making it wearable as well,” Beckham said.

Comedy Central UK has renewed Drunk History, their local adaptation of the U.S. format of the same name, for a second season, TVWise has learned. Eight episodes have been ordered for the show’s second season, which is set to premiere in 2016.

The series, which was initially picked up to series in late 2014, has been a ratings hit for Comedy Central UK ever since it launched earlier this year. In its first season, Dunk History UK beat its weekday slot average by a third, and almost four million Adults having watched the show since it launched.

Drunk History features comedians getting very drunk in order to tell a true historical story they are passionate about. As they narrate these stories, slurred word for slurred word, a host of well-known actors, celebrities and other comedians act out these new, rather blurry versions of history. Tiger Aspect Productions is producing, with Jill Offman, Lourdes Diaz and Andy Brereton executive producing.

“I am thrilled that we are working with Tiger Aspect again to bring back a second series of Drunk History in the UK, said Lourdes Diaz, Vice President, Head of Global Production & Development, Comedy Central International. “There was a lot of love for the first series and I can’t wait to have viewers laughing out loud again with even more hilarious ‘historians’ and of course, more drinking!”

Jimmy Carr is returning as the narrator for the second season, while Comedy Central UK and Tiger Aspect have already lined up a slew of celebrities for the new episodes. Emma Bunton, Jack Whitehall, Olivia Colman, Michelle Keegan, Hugh Dennis, Phil Jupitus, Tom Rosenthal, Vicky Pattison, Josie Long, Joe Lycett, Mathew Baynton, Nick Helm, Sara Pascoe, Jessica Knappett and Nish Kumar have all signed on to appear in season two.

“Now that our livers have just about recovered, it’s time to go again, this time bigger and better”, added Andy Brereton, Head of Comedy and Entertainment for Tiger Aspect Productions. “With Comedy Central’s help we’re aiming to bring viewers some of the biggest comedy names in the UK.”

Sport Spice says: “Performing at Hyde Park would be amazing. I think for the Spice Girls that would be appropriate”

Mel C reckons London’s Hyde Park would be the perfect venue if the Spice Girls ever manage to get back together.

She tells us: “We’ve talked about it, but we just haven’t got our act together.

“We’re a bit useless.

“But performing at Hyde Park would be amazing.

“I went to see Taylor Swift there this year and it was so wonderful. It was a really good, fun gig. I think for the Spice Girls that would be appropriate. It’s a bit more friendly.”

Yet a possible reunion for the Brit awards in February is definitely not on the cards.

Mel, right, adds: “There’s definitely no chance we’ll get our act together by then.

“It’s a shame, actually. We need to stop procrastinating and get on with something.”

Sort it out, girls.

David Beckham believes former England team-mate Wayne Rooney will continue to defy the critics.

Rooney became England’s record goalscorer last month, but his form at United has been patchy since the start of the season.

The 29-year-old has found the net just once in the Premier League, but Beckham is confident Rooney will soon be among the goals at his former club.

“I don’t think you can ever write off a player that’s scored the number of goals he has for England and Manchester United,” said Beckham.

“Being the player he is and has been over the years, you can never write off someone like that.

“Players like that can always make you eat your words.”

Rooney started the season as United’s main striker, but Louis van Gaal has shifted his skipper into the number 10 role since Anthony Martial joined from Monaco.

The United manager deployed Rooney as a central midfielder at times last term, and that is where Beckham believes the England captain is destined to end his career.

Beckham reckons Rooney will follow the path of another United favourite, Ryan Giggs, who altered his role in the latter stages of his career.”I think when you get older, you have to adapt your play. Ryan Giggs was a prime example,” Beckham said.

“He got to a certain age and then he dropped into midfield a lot more and played that central role. I think Wayne will do the same.

“He’s an out-and-out goalscorer, but I think at the end of the day with Wayne, he’s proved he can step into the midfield and play.

“If you’re comfortable on the ball, as players such as Wayne and Giggsy are you can do that.”

Victoria Beckham took a well deserved night to let loose!

While talking about his H&M Modern Essentials campaign at Gemma restaurant in New York City, David Beckham dished to ET about the couple’s recent wild night out, after which his wife left her event with a mysterious wet spot on her pants.

“My wife looked like she’d had quite the party and she did,” admitted David, referring to the shindig held last week at Victoria’s London boutique. “It was a big release for her.”

“I kind of kept it together,” he continued, explaining that Victoria had been putting in overtime leading up to her successful Fashion Week collection, and “deserved a night like that because she’s worked hard.”

“We all had a good night,” David added

In response to how gentlemanly it was for him to help his one and only through her super fun night, the soccer star modestly replied, “I was trying. I was trying.”

Following the release of the photos in question, Victoria’s rep gave possibly the best statement to ET regarding the incident: “This was simply the result of the most unfortunate positioning of a spilt drink, whilst Victoria was sitting down – thankfully it was not a ‘dampener’ on what was a fantastic night.”

We love you both.

Former spice girl Mel C says it’s important we keep the memory of the 96 who lost their lives during the Hilsborough disaster alive.

The Scouse singer has been a vocal supporter of the campaign for justice, and even performed on the Justice Collective single ‘He ain’t heavy’ in the aftermath of the Hillsborough Independent Panel report, which became Christmas number one in 2012.

Today over 2,300 runners took part in a charity race at Stanley Park to mark the 26th anniversary of the disaster.

A team of 10 intrepid runners have also completed a 78-mile run from Hillsborough to Anfield over the past two days.

Speaking ahead of today’s 5k , Mel C said it is important to keep the memory of the 96 alive.

She said: “It’s so wonderful to be here today for the very first Run for the 96 5k.

“I’ve been aware of it for a while, and I just think it’s a brilliant opportunity for the city – and people from all over the world – to take part for the first one.

“I hope it gets bigger and better. It’s raising so much money for the local community, but also to keep the memory alive which is so, so important.”
