Victoria Beckham has denied claims she’s drafted in the lawyers to prevent the Spice Girls reunion from performing their biggest hits.
It was previously reported Victoria Beckham was taking legal action against the reunion featuring Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, blocking them from performing songs she helped co-write like Say You’ll Be There and Spice Up Your Life.
Representatives for Victoria however have since denied the claims to Metro.co.uk, saying: ‘No legal letter was sent, this is a fabrication by The Sun and this story is now being handled legally by Victoria’s lawyer.
The reports were given credence following comments Victoria previously made regarding how she’d wish the reunited trio would perform their own songs.
‘I do think they should sing new material,’ Victoria said. ‘Because what we did as the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs, I think I might be a bit sad.’
Melanie C also snubbed plans for the reunion tour, believing they went out on a high with their performance at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.
The reunited trio also hit trouble recently, after it seems Geri Horner is backing out due to family commitments.
We’ve all heard it — a picture is worth 1,000 words. As an aspiring pop star, Victoria Beckham wanted to be as famous as Persil Automatic (the Tide detergent of Europe), a bon mot recounted by countless media outlets. Now, Beckham is expressing the thought visually, by putting a graphic that nods to Persil’s packaging — without copying — on a T-shirt.
Such is the ebullience of the designer’s Victoria Victoria Beckham line, particularly this season. “We have lots of fun with it,” Beckham said during a walk-through. Conversation prints — a feisty fruit basket motif and “cocktails” featuring undrinkable but pretty nonalcoholic concoctions photographed in her studio — were blown up and splashed across dresses and separates cut simply with a hint of the Sixties. Then there was the denim, recently folded from its former stand-alone positioning into VVB. The news here was in patchwork looks, inspired by a scarecrow Beckham said she encountered during a visit to a Los Angeles-area pumpkin patch — no kidding. Yet lest the revelry overwhelm, she offered moments of calm as well in pinstripes used unexpectedly, on, for example, a spunky T-shirt dress. And like Persil, it’s all got to perform for the customer. “It’s about getting the balance of the fun and making it wearable as well,” Beckham said.
BECKHAM SCORES ANOTHER DEAL: David Beckham has teamed up with Hennes & Mauritz on another collaboration, which involves the former soccer player curating his favorite men’s wear pieces from the retailer’s Modern Essentials collection.
The spring 2015 Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham line includes a linen bomber jacket, a denim jacket, a linen blazer, a polo shirt and a poplin white shirt.
The campaign for the collection will be shot by film director Marc Foster.
Beckham has been busy of late. As reported, in December 2014 he and his business partner Simon Fuller inked a joint venture deal with Li & Fung spin-off Global Brands to drive the development of the Beckham brand and create global labels in partnership with other sports and entertainment personalities.
Beckham is no stranger to H&M. For numerous seasons, he has developed the David Beckham Bodywear line. The spring 2015 collection will include loungewear, henleys, raglan-sleeved shirts, crewnecks and a jersey vest.
Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham and the new Bodywear collection will launch in H&M stores globally on March 5.
Original Girl Power champion Mel B is completing this year’s X Factor judging line-up and she won’t be mincing her words.
The Spice Girl lived up to her scary moniker when she guested on the panel in 2012 and this year she’s sticking around for the series.
Mel said: “Honesty is the best policy – right? And that’s what I’m going to bring more of this year, whether it’s spotting an incredible singer, giving someone a reality check or debating with Simon over who’s got it wrong!
“I can’t wait to get started and find some amazing talent.”
The X Factor creator, Simon Cowell is back on the frontline for the first time since 2010 said: “I am thrilled that Mel B has agreed to be a Judge. I thought she was fantastic as a guest Judge.
“She is feisty, opinionated and, I believe, will be a great mentor.”
Mel joins Simon, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh in the search for this year’s X Factor star.
The ever diplomatic Dermot O’Leary returns as host and he could have his work cut out with this year’s Judges.
Just wanted to let you know that i am going on vacations!!! From this saturday (November 9) untill next monday (November 18). I will be with my laptop and mobile phone, but will do my best not to update much, as i deserve a break. I’ll be probably posting more on our twitter page, but i can’t guarantee anything.
As i said, im going out to enjoy myself and my family so any update will be a bonus. I will try update everything when i arrive back home.
Emma Bunton wants to reprise her judging role on ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’.
The 37-year-old beauty would love to return to the show – which was hosted by Paddy McGuinness and Alesha Dixon – if it was commissioned for a second season because she had such great fun on the programme and enjoyed being able to take her six-year-old son Beau to watch it.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ”It would be great to do a second series. I really enjoyed it. I love Paddy, he’s so funny, and I love Alesha, I’ve known her for a few years now.
”It’s such a fun Saturday night show and Beau loved it. He came to every show. It’s such a family thing.
”There were some great acts and they really went for it. I had the best seat in the house – it was great!”
Before the start of the show – which saw stars including Olympian Denise Lewis and former ‘EastEnders’ actress Cheryl Fergison transform themselves into famous singers – the Spice Girls stunner vowed to be a nice judge, but she now feels ”bad” that she didn’t bring a softer side to the panel as she had initially planned.
She quipped: ”I wasn’t that nice on it, I feel a bit bad now!
”I just wanted to be honest. I’m there for a reason otherwise they wouldn’t have judges. You just have fun with it.”
From now on, i will be adding Gallery updates to the side bar, under “Gallery Updates” right below “Website Informations”. It will be easier for me and for you lot.
Thought i should let you know, just in case you start wondering why the heck i am not posting (regulary) gallery updates on the news section anymore. haha. Like i said, it will be easier for me, as im very busy at the moment!
I’m sure you noticed i’m not updating as fast as i used to, and i want to give you a quick feed back about why this is happening. I’m in a moment in my life where i’m taking care of myself, working, enjoying family and friends and stopping obssessing over the Beckhams and the Spices… this was getting out of hand and was a bit worrying.. that’s not healthy.
For years i dedicated my time to this site and gallery. But some stuff happened a month ago that put me off from all of this (i won say what, but some people know though) and this is bothering me lately. So, i decided to slow down a bit. I will confess that the thought of closing the site crossed my mind (like it did before, but this time was serious), especially a month ago. But no worries, i will not close it, but i will slow down a bit, at least for a while. I still adore them, don’t get me wrong 😉
Thanks for all you suppport, always!
Love Lah x
ps.: I wont stop updating!! I will just slow down a bit and wont be all day glued to the site 😉
